Christmas has come early at our Sheffield branch, with more than 60 presents worth over £500 donated to Hallam FM’s ‘Cash for Kids Mission Christmas.

‘Mission Christmas’ is an initiative to support the four million UK children living in poverty on Christmas Day. The Nunnery Drive branch of Frank Key Building Supplies, Plant and Tool Hire in Park Hill was one of a number of dropoff points for people from Sheffield to visit and donate gifts.

James Norton, Group Managing Director at Frank Key says: “As a business, we strongly believe in giving back to the local community and are proud to be part of this campaign. Almost half of all the donations in the branch have been made by our own staff. Whilst the festive season for many is a magical time with friends and family, it’s shocking to learn that around four million UK children will be living in poverty on Christmas Day. It’s thanks to initiatives like Mission Christmas, we can help put a smile back on their faces.”

Presents have now been dropped off at Hallam FM in Herries Road, Sheffield. Allan Ogle, Charity Manager for Cash for Kids at Hallam FM, adds: “On behalf of everyone at Hallam FM, thank you to Frank Key and all of the visitors that used its branch to donate towards Mission Christmas. Your gifts are greatly received and will help towards adding some Christmas magic for children at risk of waking up to no presents.”

‘Cash for Kids Mission Christmas’ is the largest Christmas gift appeal in the UK, targeting the one in four children living in poverty. Gifts from Frank Key, Sheffield will go towards supporting thousands of disadvantaged children across South Yorkshire. Follow its Facebook ‘Hallam FM Cash for Kids’ for daily updates.
